By ordering the electronic version of the FCPCS Board Governing Training, your board members will have personal access to a self-paced workshop and handouts via the Internet. The workshop presentation may be viewed by board members individually or as a group.

Initial Four-Hour Training: $400
(New board members can be added for $50 per board member after a school has purchased the initial training)
Two-Hour Refresher Training: $99
Board members must complete their training by August 1 of each year.
Please print out and complete the Registration Form, including the list of names of all of the governing board members who will participate in the training. This form should be mailed or faxed to FCPCS at the following address:

The Florida Department of Education requires documented evidence that individual board members have completed the state-approved training. Upon receipt of the necessary documents, FCPCS will provide individual participants with a signed Certificate of Completion that can be mailed to the Department of Education as this evidence.
Board members will need to follow these steps to receive his/her Certificate of Completion:
- Board members should have a copy of their board’s bylaws while they are participating in the training in order to complete some of the exercises in the training.
- Each board member needs to complete and sign the required documents
included in the training.
- The originals of these signed documents need to be mailed to the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools for review.
- If the documents show that a board member has a clear understanding of the module content, FCPCS will mail a numbered Certificate of Completion to that board member at the school address. These certificates may be copied and submitted to the Florida Department of Education as proof that the board member completed a state-approved training course.
- The governing board should keep copies of the signed certificates with their board minutes along with the dates that the members completed the training.
