Nomination Deadline Nears for 2022 Florida Charter School Champions of the Year Awards

Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) Brings Back Statewide Awards Program to Honor Charter School Champions

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., (March 2, 2022) – The deadline to nominate individuals for consideration as 2022 Florida Charter School Champions is Friday, March 11 at 5 p.m.  Nominees should be “exceptional individuals working in and for charter schools,” according to the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS), which is bringing back the annual statewide awards program for 2022.

From 2012 through 2019, FCPCS encouraged its member schools and supporters to nominate individuals for consideration as part of the prestigious statewide awards program.  Due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the awards program was paused for health and safety reasons during 2020 and 2021.

The Florida Charter School Champions of the Year Awards return for 2022, with nominations made online no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, March 11.  Nominations will be accepted in the following categories: Champion Charter School Pioneer, Champion Governing Board Member, Champion School Leader, Champion Teacher, Champion Innovator and Champion Preferred Partner, from the FCPCS Preferred Partners Program.

This year’s honorees will be announced on Friday, March 25, 2022.  Awards will be delivered soon after the winners are announced, when nominators of the winners will be notified.

“The Florida Charter School Champions of the Year Awards recognize exceptional individuals and companies who represent the very best aspects of the charter school movement,” said FCPCS President Robert Haag.  “The awards program is a celebration of their achievements and success.”
