TeachinFlorida.org Website Launched as Resource for Interested Teachers

Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS) Creates Website to Lay Out Teacher Certification Process and Build Interest among Potential Florida Teachers

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (March 6, 2023) – A new website, TeachinFlorida.org, has launched as a resource for teachers and other professionals interested in becoming certified to teach in Florida’s public charter schools.

The website was created and is maintained by the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools (FCPCS).  It is designed to provide current information on becoming a certified teacher in a public charter school in Florida.  It helps potential teachers to understand options available to them, as approved by the Florida Department of Education.  And it explains details of the Florida Teacher Certification process.

TeachinFlorida.org also shares information on Florida public charter schools and the benefits of working in their innovative educational environments.

“The new teachinflorida.org website is a timely new tool for interested potential Florida teachers,” said Robert Haag, President of the Florida Consortium of Public Charter Schools.  “Our goal is to maximize the number of new teachers who want to teach in Florida’s public charter schools.”

The new website is a companion to the existing teachersforcharterschools.org website, which provides information and resources for current teachers in Florida’s public charter schools.
